I was looking up snack recipes for an upcoming game night my friends are hosting. All recipes is my favorite recipe site. I know people swear by epicurious, but I’m more midwest staple than foodie, and all recipes works well for me. The snacks for kids page was promoting this caramel corn recipe (although they say carAmel, and I would make carmull corn). It’s touted as an easy recipe, but it requires you to take two pans out of the oven, dump the contents into a bowl, stir, then put the popcorn BACK into the two pans and back into the oven every 15 minutes for an hour. So, I guess that isn’t HARD, but it’s labor intensive. I don’t know if this recipe should be billed as easy. This is a completely random thing to gripe about, but I just thought it was odd. It all made sense when I got to the actual recipe which is called “My Amish Friend’s Caramel Corn.” Ok, so if you’re Amish, I guess an hour of taking pans in and out of the oven might not seem like hard work. Although I have definitely seen Amish folks at Meijer, and I don’t know why they couldn’t buy caramel corn while they were there. 🙂
